PARIS, FRANCE, December 04, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fencing, Thrusts and a Scientific Touch is now open in Paris and should give visitors some idea of what it feels like to be involved in the sport of fencing.

Guests at Paris hotels who would like the chance to learn more about the weapons used and the techniques practised by the pros should head down to the Palais Decouverte by January 9th 2011.

Fencing, Thrusts and a Scientific Touch has been organised with the help of the French Fencing Federation, which has provided a number of helpers to show attendees all the kit associated with the sport.

"It will offer visitors the opportunity to analyse, understand and get a feeling for the physiological and neurological skills that are all part of fencing," explained the organisers.

Among the items available to enjoy is 20-minute film by former Olympic champion foil fencer Brice Guyart, who is sponsoring the exhibition.

Admission to this show costs EUR7 (GBP5.90), but there are concessions available and it is free for anyone under five years old.

Opening hours for the exhibition are from 09:30 to 18:00 from Tuesdays to Saturdays, with the facility available between 10:00 and 19:00 on Sundays and public holidays. The complex is closed on Mondays.
