Susan K. Simmons to Be Featured in "Cambridge Publishing's 101 Top Industry Experts"
Susan K. Simmons recognized for professional excellence and patriotic service

Fort Riley, KS, March 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Susan K. Simmons, Supervisory Human Resources Specialist and Chief of Processing of the Southwest Region for the United States Army Civilian Human Resources Agency, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in human resources.

Susan K. Simmons has 34 years of experience in human resources. As Supervisory Human Resources Specialist and the Chief of Processing of the Southwest Region, she supervises a human resources division consisting of approximately 70 employees, oversees human resources transactions for the region and assists in the troubleshooting of complex issues. Additionally, she ensures that all employees receive training, and conducts such training. Previously, Ms. Simmons worked as a personnel specialist, a lifeguard, a museum aide, a personnel clerk, a personnel assistant, and a human resources specialist with the United States Army.

Attributing her success to her drive, work ethic and personal values, Ms. Simmons initially became involved in her profession after completing active duty. Realizing her love for working with the United States Army, she decided to pursue human resources work as a civilian. Today, she regards her position as a dedicated duty to be performed with passion, commitment, integrity and fairness. Looking forward, she will to continue to excel in her position.

Ms. Simmons received a bachelor's degree in social science from Kansas State University in 1989 and an associate degree in business administration from Drury University in 1982. In 2006, she became a certified professional of human resources. An adjunct professor of computer technology at Barton County Community College, she is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Golden Key International Honour Society. This year, Ms. Simmons was chosen to be featured in "Cambridge Publishing's 101 Top Industry Experts," a book that highlights the personal and professional accomplishments of its most esteemed members.
