Christopher J. Spanhake 'Spanky' to Be Profiled in Exclusive Registry
Christopher J. Spanhake 'Spanky' received the Republic of China's Badge Honor and the R.O.C. Defense Commemorative Badge in the 1970s
PRATTSVILLE, NY, June 11, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Christopher J. Spanhake 'Spanky', Retired Staff Sergeant for the United States Air Force, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in military and defense.
Mr. Spanhake served as a staff sergeant, fuel systems mechanic, manual technician, and assistant branch chief for the United States Air Force. His responsibilities included assessing individual performance. He worked with environmental conservation officers on hunter safety, and also taught hunter safety and archery programs to students for over 30 years. During the Cold War, he was stationed in Taiwan.
In 1971, Mr. Spanhake became a certified carpenter through the Board of Cooperative Educational Services. He is a member of the Oneonta Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans, and the Prattsville Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. He was the recipient of several medals including: the Medal of Valor from the United States Air Force, the National Defense Service Medal, the Air Force Longevity Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, the President Unit Citation United States Air Force Medal, the American Campaign Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal.
