Judith M. Allen brings Army nursing experience to VistaCare


SPARKS, NV, July 20, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Judith M. Allen, Patient Care Manager for VistaCare Hospice, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in healthcare administration.

With 45 years of professional experience, Judith M. Allen is considered an expert in hospice care. She assumed her current position at VistaCare in 2004 and is tasked primarily with overseeing patient services. Her responsibilities include supervising nurses, social workers, spiritual care workers and the interdisciplinary team, educating patients and their families, caring for hospice patients, and teaching at the long-term care facility. Ms. Allen previously served as a registered nurse in the U.S. Army, from which she was honorably discharged with the rank of colonel. She attributes her success and longevity to her passion for her profession.

Ms. Allen received her master's degree in human resource and organizational development from the University of San Francisco and her bachelor of science in nursing from D'Youville College. She became a Registered Nurse in 1964 through Champlain Valley Physicians School of Nursing. She is a member of the American Nurses Association.
