Roger Waters will perform The Wall Live for two nights at the O2 Arena in Prague.

PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC, March 01, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pink Floyd legend Roger Waters is bringing The Wall Live to the Czech capital this year.

Featuring a spectacular performance of the progressive rock group's seminal 1979 album The Wall, the concert will take place at the O2 Arena in Prague on Friday April 15th and Saturday April 16th.

Last year, Waters announced that he would take The Wall out on the road for the first time since 1990.

The new production has been billed as one of the most ambitious and complex live shows in rock history, with various theatrical elements, special effects and an array of visual projections accompanying the musician and his band.

Waters has said he believes the anti-war message of the original album and subsequent tour remains highly relevant to modern times.

"The new production of The Wall is an attempt to offer some comparisons to illuminate our current unfavourable world situation," the 67-year-old revealed in a statement.

He said the show is "dedicated to all innocent victims of the fighting and unrest in recent years".

The centrepiece of the production is the wall itself - an 11-metre high structure that is built on stage and destroyed again during the show.

Tickets for the event are priced between 1,690 Czech koruna and 2,490 Czech koruna (GBP59.10 and GBP87).
