CARDIFF, WALES, April 17, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tracesmart, the leading data specialists, took part in the Miles for Missing People 10K charity run, organised by the charity Missing People. The charity's official search partner, Tracesmart further proved its commitment to the cause by having the largest team entry in the race.
Tracesmart provide online consumer data solutions that enable businesses from a wide range of sectors to undertake tracing, identity verification and address data cleansing exercises. Missing People themselves benefit from the tracing facility as they utilise it to search for people and information.
Speaking of their support for Missing People, Owen Roberts, head of public relations at Tracesmart, commented: "We're extremely pleased that we've been able to raise so much money, and are well on our way to reaching our race fundraising target of GBP2000. The sum demonstrates the determination of our staff and fundraising team who have really got behind the charity. As a company, we're proud that our employees have embraced the important work that this charity undertakes - it's testament to our company values and ethos."
Martin Houghton-Brown, the chief executive of the charity Missing People, said: "We're so grateful to Team Tracesmart for their fantastic support of Miles for Missing People. The company's extraordinary fundraising efforts will help us to improve and expand our services, so that we can be a lifeline when someone disappears."
Missing People provide vital support when someone goes missing. At any one time, Missing People are searching for over 5,000 missing persons in the UK, 3,000 of which are children. Their caring and highly trained staff and volunteers offer specialised support to the families that are left behind; they work hard to try and end the heartache and confusion. The charity is currently campaigning for the Government to give families of missing people the same basic rights as victims of crime.
