Daniel S. Kirschner has become a partner of the personal injury law firm of Corboy & Demetrio, the firm announced Wednesday. Kirschner, 39, was an associate at the Chicago personal injury firm since 1998, devoting his legal career to representing plaintiffs in serious personal injury and wrongful death cases.

Kirschner has been recognized by the Illinois Supreme Court with a recurrent appointment to the Illinois Supreme Court Rules Committee, as well as a past appointment as a Commissioner on the Character and Fitness Committee of the Illinois board of Admissions to the Bar. Dan has also been honored by Governor Pat Quinn with an appointment to the Illinois Carnival-Amusement Safety Board, a position he currently holds.

Kirschner has been selected by his peers as an Illinois Super Lawyer Rising Star and was named by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company to its list of "40 Under 40 Attorneys to Watch in Illinois." He was honored with the President's Award for Advocate of the Year by the Illinois Division of the American Cancer Society. Dan received the Young Alumnus Award from the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he graduated in 1998. He is a 1994 graduate of the University of Wisconsin.

Dan is an active member of many bar organizations, including the prestigious Society of Trial Lawyers.
