The Armstrong Law Firm Files Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Against Winery
The Armstrong Law Firm has filed a lawsuit against Sonoma's Robledo Family Winery and owner Reynaldo Robledo on behalf of a female former employee who was subjected to repeated sexual harassment (Sonoma County Superior Court, Case #SCV-250421).

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, September 28, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Armstrong Law Firm has filed a lawsuit against Sonoma's Robledo Family Winery and owner Reynaldo Robledo on behalf of a female former employee who was subjected to repeated sexual harassment. (Sonoma County Superior Court, Case #SCV-250421).

The Bay Area sexual harassment attorneys at the Armstrong Law Firm in San Francisco, California are seeking damages on behalf of Plaintiff Rashel Alvarado for sexual harassment, failure to prevent harassment, negligent retaliation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and failure to pay wages upon discharge.

The complaint states that the plaintiff's male supervisor, the company's owner and CEO, Reynaldo Robledo, repeatedly sexually harassed her. According to the lawsuit, he routinely spoke to her in an inappropriate manner, including, but not limited to, commenting on the legs and breasts of Ms. Alvarado and other women, asking Ms. Alvarado if he could see her breasts, asking if he could see just one of her breasts, asking repeatedly if he could touch her breasts, begging to see and touch her breasts, telling her he wanted to have sex with her, promising he would stop but still asking multiple times for hugs, pulling her next to him when he was erect, grinding himself against Ms. Alvarado, leering and staring at Ms. Alvarado in a suggestive manner and intimidating Ms. Alvarado from coming forward by telling her that people from Mexico are so poor they would kill someone for $100.

After being rebuffed when Mr. Robledo made sexual advances toward Ms. Alvarado and promising not to pursue her further, he committed assault and battery by grabbing her and yanking her toward him when he was erect and grinded himself against her. Mr. Robledo further implied that Ms. Alvarado would need to travel and stay alone with him because she needed to improve her job performance. The harassment was so hostile and pervasive, and caused the plaintiff so much emotional distress, that she eventually had no choice but to resign.

In addition, the winery allegedly failed to investigate the plaintiff's complaints of sexual harassment even after she hired an attorney. Mr. Robledo has a history of similar conduct toward subordinate female employees. Ms. Alvarado has a witness who is also a female former employee of Robledo Family Winery who was also subjected to sexually harassing conduct by Mr. Robledo. When Ms. Alvarado attempted to contact winery management to complain, no one responded. Ms. Alvarado has no knowledge that the company either trained its management employees regarding sexual harassment as required under California law or took any precautions to prevent the owner from continuing to harass female employees.
