Melody Kay White, MS, Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who
Ms. White shines as an educator and owner of a reading clinic
TWO DOT, MT, October 14, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Melody Kay White, MS, Owner of the Two Dot Reading Clinic, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in education. In addition to being selected for inclusion in Cambridge Publishing's Pro-Files Magazine, she has received the designation of Elite American Educator.
Ms. White has 35 years of professional experience in education, and she currently utilizes her knowledge and experience at the helm of a clinic that provides treatment for students with learning disabilities, including reading, spelling, writing and comprehension disorders. Her areas of expertise include miscue and content area analysis, and in her role as the clinic's owner, she organizes workshops, teaches students, and instructs reading teachers. She also consults with teachers on intervention techniques and conducts assessments.
With a versatile skill set and a profound love for teaching, Ms. White attributes her success to her desire to help children to learn and grow, and to the support she receives from her grandmother and family. She became involved in her profession through the inspiration she received from her family members. The most gratifying aspect of her career, she says, is being able to reach children who need help, and giving them opportunities to achieve success.
Ms. White also stays busy outside of the classroom She has owned sprint racing cars for more than 30 years. In addition, she helps her husband operate McFarland White Ranch, a working cattle ranch that has been in existence since 1902. Her responsibilities at the historic ranch include overseeing bookkeeping, business operations, ranch promotions, and building maintenance for 13 buildings with a total of 100 guest rooms and facilities.
Ms. White holds a Bachelor of Science in education and a Master of Science in reading, both from Montana State University Billings. In addition to being a member of the International Reading Association, she serves as a judge for the National FFA Organization and supports 4-H Club activities. She is also a member of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association. In the years to come, Ms. White intends to research different strategies and techniques for teaching.
