CHICAGO, IL, August 23, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert Sackett, Human Resources Director of Village Green, has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Human Resources. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Mr. Sackett's passion for human resources is rooted in his belief that his career is not only a job, but a way to help employees improve their skills/knowledge and help them to reach their full potential With over 16 years of professional experience, he currently serves as the Director of Human Resources with Village Green, a national residential property management and development company, guiding/assisting a staff of four HR representatives in serving the HR needs of over 1200 employees at over 140 properties throughout the country. Prior experiences include increasingly responsible positions within the healthcare, information technology, manufacturing, real estate, and hospitality industries. These professional experiences are augmented by a strong educational background, including a B.S. in Human Resource Management, an M.S. in Human Resource Development, and a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification. He is also an active member in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) organization.

Aspiring to become a Vice President of Human Resources in the near future, Mr. Sackett has managed a broad range of human resources responsibilities. Among these include: authoring numerous employee training manuals, policy and procedures manuals, and associate handbooks; developing strategic plans; overseeing recruitment efforts; dealing with compliance issues; participating in union contract negotiations/arbitrations; conducting workplace harassment and discrimination investigations, and mediating dispute resolutions.
